【第39回南アジア・インド洋世界研究会／
“Nuclear Energy in China and India: Can Ambitions Meet Reality ?”

発表概要：Nuclear energy has been facing an uncertain future after the multiple accidents at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant in 2011. The nuclear industry still hopes for a large expansion, mostly on the basis of various developing countries constructing nuclear reactors. Among the countries that have announced ambitious targets for constructing nuclear power plants are China and India. This talk will discuss some of these
targets and the record of actual implementation of these plans, as well as the multiple factors that drive and constrain nuclear policy.
報告者のM.V.ラマナ氏は、The Power of Promise: Examining Nuclear Energy in India (Penguin Books,2012)の著者でもあり、現在はプリンストン大学ウッドロー・ウィルソン・スクールにて、各国の核エネルギー計画の研究に従事されています。
